Son of Sidney and Anne Wallis: Husband of J. Wallis of Chatham. Died on the 26th March 1946. Aged 26. Buried at Palmerstone Road Cemetery, Chatham, Kent. Section 11. Grave 220. Lance Corporal R.A.F. Wallis was clearing mines on the beaches at Peterhead, Scotland. Corporal J.M.C Wood stepped on a mine and both men died. Lance Corporal R.A.F. Wallis was at Dunkirk and returned to the U.K. He married on the 16th September 1941 and was posted to Ireland. He went through the London Blitz. He was posted to Dunbar in Scotland. Mrs J. Wallis re-married on the 28th September 1946. Her married name is Mrs J. Coleman and she was widowed on the 8th March 1986.
