Corporal J. Fordyce, Lieutenant G. Gaylor and Sapper A. Hurley all died at this incident. Mine clearance at Rattray Head northeast Scotland.

Son of Albert and Alice Hurley of East Ham Died on the 7th August 1946. Aged 19 Buried at Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Leytonstone Plot 11B. Row 1. Grave 1215 Note: Corporal J. Fordyce, Lieutenant G. Gaylor and Sapper A. Hurley all died at this incident. Mine clearance at Rattray Head northeast Scotland. As this is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission Headstone they will replace and repair it the stone. However the rest of the grave does not come under their remit and is not maintained by them.
