The Royal Engineer Association.

Bomb Disposal

Branch.

This is the start of the Branch side of the website. Hopefully we can get you all to request an application form and join us. First things first, lets remove the myth that it's just a bunch of old guy's and there is nothing for the younger generation. For example this years Remembrance parade at the Cenataph, 35 attended and 32 of these served between 1960 to 2000.  Look on this link see who is in the Branch and when they served, I think you will be surprised.

As a National Branch we do at time's suffer with the problem of getting people together. At present our 1/4 meetings are held in London, Catford or Wimbish. It has been suggested that we look at moving one the AGM to a different part of the country each year. We hold a Annual Dinner at Carver Barracks which is very good. However not to everbody's taste, so give us ideas as to what you want to see how we can bring you into the Branch by listening and actioning some of your ideas.

We do want to hear from you all and see what you would like the Branch to look like in the future after all it will be used by you when us who are running it now go for a quieter life.  All we ask is that you get a membership form from this link and part with a whole £5 a year, then join in where you can and let's get this Branch into shape for your future.

BD is 70 years old this year, lets move into the next 70 with some new blood in the Branch, new direction and positive thinking, if it means a few hangovers along the way so be it, I will not be heard complaining.

Remembrance Sunday 2010.

As a Branch we have been allocated 54 places at the Cenotaph, London, last year saw 35 on parade from old to young, let us parade the largest contingent that we have had for years.

For all our lost comrades who have given the ultimate sacrifice, some very recent others more distant but they were all our family.
